Why we make it this way

Why we make it this way

We started with a simple wish: jewellery you never need to take off. That means solid metal rather than plating, stones set to stay, and edges polished until they are kind to skin and silk.

It takes longer. It is also why the pieces look the same in ten years as the day they arrived.

From drawing to box

Every piece takes the same path to you.

  1. 01

    The drawing

Each design starts on paper, sized to real hands, ears and wrists.

  2. 02

    The metal

Solid gold or sterling silver, cast or drawn and shaped at the bench.

  3. 03

    The setting

Stones seated and claws closed by hand, under a loupe.

  4. 04

    The finish

Polished in stages, checked, and laid in its box.

What we hold to

Solid metal

Gold and silver all the way through — nothing plated, nothing to wear away.

Stones with a story

Conflict-free stones, chosen one by one for colour and life.

Made to be worn

Low settings and smooth edges, for every day rather than a drawer.

Caring for your pieces

Gold and silver only need a soft cloth and, now and then, warm water with a drop of mild soap. Store each piece in its own pouch so chains do not tangle and stones do not scratch their neighbours. Take rings off for the gym, the garden and cleaning products.
