How a bag is made
Every piece passes through the same four benches before it leaves the workshop.
- 01
Cutting the hide
Each panel is marked and cut by hand from full-grain leather, reading the hide for its strongest parts.
- 02
Saddle stitching
Two needles, one waxed linen thread, every stitch pulled tight by hand — it holds even if one is cut.
- 03
Edge painting
Edges are sanded, painted and burnished in layers until they are smooth and sealed.
- 04
Finishing the hardware
Solid brass fittings are set and checked, then the bag is conditioned and wrapped.
